6-16-10 Dress My Way

I love a new take on a time old concept.  Yesterday, I went to visit Jay Wang with 'Dress My Way' in Dallas.   Dress My Way is a dress salon that specializes in custom wedding gowns and special occasion attire.   I was impressed with the quality of the product they had on display and the simplicity of their operation.

If you have spent time going from bridal salon to bridal salon, looking for the perfect gown only to end up exhausted and frustrated then you may want to check this place out.   If you are a mother of the bride and are searching the malls and expensive salons and not coming up with anything that just wow's you, then you might want to talk to Jay Wang.

When you go in for your appointment, you will meet with a dress designer who will work with you to design the gown or dress of your dreams.   Then they custom created your gown in six to eight weeks, beating the average bridal gown order by four to five months.  And did I say that the gowns they have on display are beautiful with lots of attention to important details.

The other big plus is the cost.  They start Custom Bridal gowns at $899, Bride's maid dresses at $200 and mother of the bride at $500.  The price includes
your design consultation, pattern making, fabric, embellishments, including any beading, embroidery, lace, crystals, trim's etc and fittings.  There are no add on or hidden costs.  That is really a good deal when you consider that when you order a gown from a  bridal salon or even if you purchase off the rack you will almost always be looking at an additional couple of hundred dollars just for alterations alone.

Dress My Way is conveniently located at 1444 Oaklawn Ave, Suite 703, Dallas.  214-755-7221.

Sara Hart

It was a privilege to help Sarah create the palate for her wedding to Karim.   Sarah choose all soft blue and cream flowers to compliment her ivory gown and navy blue attendants dresses.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas at 6:45pm.   Sarah worked with Perry Aslyn Photograhy to capture her important day.   The  cocktail reception followed the ceremony  in the foyer of the Wedgwood Ballroom of the Dallas Anatole Hotel.   In the foyer, Sarah and her family had personalized bibles that the guests could sign and write a message so that the family could mail all the bibles to Sarah's brother's regiment in Afghanistan, where he is stationed for his tour of duty.
Sarah and Karim's dinner reception was in the beautiful soft blue Wedgewood Ballroom.    BBJ linen dressed all the tables and chairs in navy blue lamour and added cream bands  to the chairs and the cocktail tables.
Scott Phar with the Anatole did an impeccable job of going above and beyond on service for Sarah and Karim.   Pannani Bakery created a beautiful cake that was finished off in soft floral creating an elegant presentation to their 200 wedding guests all that would not be complete without music and lighting from Randal Stout who washed the walls and the dance floor in magnificent shades of blue.  Congratulations Sarah and Karim and thank you for allowing us to share in your special day.
